Introducing the Indie Prize Serbia Participants From Latin America and Asia

There are two entries for Indie Prize at Casual Connect Eastern Europe 2018, both from Brazil. One is a turn-based RPG, using imagination to explore the galaxy. The other is a side-scrolling platformer based on the medieval world.

Galaxy of Pen & Paper is a turn-based role playing game. It takes place in 1999 with a group of players rolling dice as the take their turns. You create your own RPG party and Game Master as players use their imaginations to explore distant aliens, fight aliens and save the galaxy, in the era of dial-up internet and floppy disks.

Galaxy of Pen & Paper is the sequel to Knights of Pen & Paper. It has been nominated and won seven international awards, including Best Game and Best Audio at SBGames, one of the biggest game festivals in Latin America. Galaxy of Pen & Paper and Knights of Pen & Paper together have received more that 3 million downloads.

Game Title: Don’t Kill the Knight

Don’t Kill the Knight is a side scrolling platformer autorunner/stopper. In this mobile game, you face a track filled with deadly medieval contraptions and crazy obstacles. And you help a clumsy, terrified jester disguised as a knight survive in this insane place. The game’s simple controls are easy to learn but hard to master and there are over 300 traps and countless behaviors.


There are two entries for Indie Prize from Asia, one from China and one from Hong Kong. One is intended to increase self-awareness as well as the awareness of people’s emotions in every day life. The other is a simulation game of the world of Comic-Con.

Pluck It: hairs and emotions offers a playful experience in which players must deal with hairs in various ways to pluck them and experience the emotions involved. The purpose of Pluck It is to promote self-awareness and the awareness of people’s emotions in everyday life in the information age.

Pluck It was #1 in the Trivia Game category in the App Store in multiple areas, including China and the United States. It received an average rating of 4.7 on the App Store.

Game Title: The Con Simulator
Developer: DGSpitzer
Platform: Desktop Win, Desktop Mac
Country: China

The Con Simulator is a simulation game in the world of Comic-Con. The player is a Comic-Con organizer and the game is MODable. As the player, you create your own personal booths and cosplayers however you choose.

The game combines tabletop strategy cards with traditional SLG gameplay. Players manage their own “con” company, invite booths and guests and compete with their peers. But they must also deal with real-time tasks, such as hiring NPC or punishing copyright infringing booths, and handle emergencies, including fire hazards and theft.
